Kenny Scharf <\/strong>Flores Purple (Purple Flowers), 2022<\/strong> <\/em>brings the essence of spring in this whimsical sculpture of a still live vase. Protruding from the top is a bouquet of various funky flowers that resemble different shapes; some amorphous and ambiguous organic forms, some resembling the atom symbol, circles, clouds, some containing long, thin petals. Stems curl and zigzag, playful in their inception as they loop around the work, illustrating the artist\u2019s ability to create nuanced details in an otherwise otherworldly still life. Flocked in a velvet-esque material, Flores Purple<\/em> has a tactile texture that would be unassuming of aluminum.
